Film + Video Submission Form 2017

Deadline | May 31, 2017
Free Deadline: May 31, 2017
Late Deadline ($25 fee): June 15, 2017Thank you for your interest in submitting to the 18th annual imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival which takes place 18-22 October 2017 in Toronto, Canada. We appreciate the time you’re taking to send your film or video to us and we strongly encourage you to contact us at any time if you have any questions or concerns.

The imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival presents film, video, audio and digital media works created by Indigenous creators. imagineNATIVE is a Festival focused on Indigenous media artists (those who are credited as Director, Writer or Producer) and their perspectives, artistry and creativity on screen; the subject matter or content of the works submitted and programmed do not need to have overtly Indigenous themes or content. Detailed eligibility requirements are specified on the Regulation page, which is the first page of the submission process.

If your work is not yet complete, we want to clearly communicate that you do NOT need to submit your work with your Submission Form. We encourage you to complete the Submission Form as best you can and let us know in the Comments section which stage your work is at – we will follow up. We prefer to have a Submission Form for an incomplete work so it’s on our radar.

We also strongly advise that you review our Vision, Mission and Mandate, in addition to reading about our Artistic, Selection and Programming Policies before completing the Submission Form. By submitting your work, you are agreeing for your work to be assessed under these policies, so we feel it’s important that you’re aware of and understand what these are. The links to each of these are listed below.

Please note that once you begin to fill out the Submission Form you can return to the form at a later time by copying the ID tag that will be shown at the bottom right of the screen once you begin the submission process and entering this number in the pop-up window that appears when you press the Continue button below; i.e. you do NOT need to complete the form in one sitting. So we encourage you to review the information we require before beginning the process and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or need clarity – we are here to answer your questions and provide assistance to you in whichever way we can.
